Benefits and limitation of Blogs in the classroom
In the first day I enjoy the ICT class course I thought that this courses it will go and I not get any new knowledge to improve my self as a teacher or I learn some think new in teaching. But every day I attend the classroom I get new knowledge and I learn new information which I transferred that to my class and my student.
By learning and using the blogs in classroom it help me to understand the course in better way and give me the ability to right the concept in my language and what I understand in this curriculum and I put my comment about it. The other think is the discuss ideas between the teachers, work to gather as team and sharing the information, all of this increase my ICT teaching vision and push me to change the teaching technique.
The problem I face is the course or classroom is the homework which is very difficult to do it in the classroom because it take time and when I went to home I don’t have the time to do it. I become busy with family and schools works for that rezone I not finish my homework in the time.
I wish that my works in this course accomplish the result what I expect.

Week11 - ICT as Tutor
Most teacher in several yours go they start using the ICT as Tutor in classroom because it help the teachers to conduction the concept to student.
The teachers using suitable materials to enhance their teaching by :
How we should use the ICT Tutor?
Its good to using the ICT as Tutor but the teacher should be using it in proper way and select proper material.
What is limitation for ICT as Tutor?
There is group of people they thought that in the future we will no need for teachers and we can online learn or using the teaching materials. Yes what they say could be right but the teacher job not teaching only in the classroom. He learn the student which is more than conduction the concept he learn and teach the student the human communication which it can not get it by ICT materials.

Week9 - Collaboration and Discussion using ICT
The people learn in different way. The recent learning theories suggest that learning is a socio cultural phenomena.
ICT support the learning conversations by online discussion like (Block Board) , knowledge sharing like (Wiki), social networking like ( FaceBook). This type of learning help student to increase his knowledge faster and with reach information. In the same time we should know that using this tools of learning its not secure and not safety and should be careful when we use it and th parent should look what they chilled do or work in it online.

Week6 - Webqust
Learning outcomes
At the end of the lesson you will be able to
- Understand the meaning of Webquest
- Describe the steps of WebQuset
- Identify some of the WebQuset resources
- Discuss how WebQuest can be used in inquiry based learning
- Plan and develop a WebQuest to teach a lesson
What is a WebQuset?
- webQuset is a learning activity in which students interact with resources on the internet(can also use other resources)
- inquiry based approach
Questioning, critical thinking and problem solving
Why do we use WebQuest?
- Involves higher levels of thinking
- Built around a topic of interest to students = Motivation
- Challenges students to explore the information the web
- Team approach and project based
- Skills are transferable across subjects
- Simple to create
- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuZ949ZITY
Crating a WebQuest
- You are the teacher and you are going to create a Webquest for your students
How are you going to do that?
- A WebQuest consists of FIVE critical steps
- Introduction
- Task
- Process
- Evaluation
- Conclusion
Step 1: Introduction
- Draws students attention to the topic; motivate them
- Provides background information about the topic
- There is normally a central question that will gulde your webquest – it should demand higher level of thinking & be a real world activity (e.g. How can we solve the problem of global warming?)
Step 2 Task
- Provide a description of activities and what students will have to accomplish at the end of the activity:
- Is it a product?
- Solve a problem?
Step 3: Process
- Describe very clearly the steps for students to accomplish the task
- Create groups and assign roles
- As a teacher, provides assistance (worksheets, data gathering tools, hints, etc)
- Provide resource that students will be using web links will form the main resources
Step 4: Evaluation
- Decide how students will assessed
- You can use Rubrics
- Summarize the experience and promote a reflection about the process
- Challenge the students to act upon what they student to act upon what they have achieved; whether they can use in another situation
Templates to Design WebQuests
- Power Pont
- Word Document
Activity [30 minutes]
- Explore the WebQuest sites provided
- Note down which one you visited
- Report what you found on those sites
webQuest Sites Observations
- WebQuest lessons are not used to teach factual information
- Tasks in the WebQuest lessons invite creativity and problem solving with several possible solutions
- WebQuest lessons are designed to encourage critical thinking and analytical skills
Activity [30 minutes]
- Using the linked provided, try the webquest about webquest
- Report to the class your experience after implementing the activity
Summery
- Learning activity such as WcbQuset allows students to explore knowledge and skills
- ICT facilitates students to explore the web for information
Over View:
WebQuest is a learning activity designed to engage the learners with use of internet and computer technology. WebQuest are deigned to provide inquiry- oriented activity in which students search for relevant information to learn a new topic in any of the school subject areas.
The WebQuest activities require students to work cooperatively and interaction and sharing of knowledge and skills among learners. Teaching with WebQuest is highly successful in building knowledge and understanding the topic.
A WebQuest usually consist of five critical components; Introduction, task, process, evaluation and conclusion.
Introduction: The first statement in a WebQuest draws attention of the learner. The introduction is made to motivate and create curiosity. For example: "you are an astronaut to find out the air quality in the space”.
Task: Describe clearly and concisely what the end result of the learners' activities will be. The task could be a series of questions that must be answered, problem to be solved or to make an end product.
Process: Describe step-by-step instruction on how the learners will accomplish the task. Provide guidance and individual steps to achieve the given task.
Evaluation: The process of evaluation consists of what is expected to successfully achieve the given task. These can include grading, rubric and detail account of how it will be measured.
Conclusion: The final component of a WebQuest consists of summary of the activities, how the aspects that the students learned can be transferred to real-life situation and suggestion for further exploration of the topic.

Week5 - Student centered learning and inquiry based learning
Where dose it fit in ?
"Student-centered learning demands not only that teachers are expert in their fields but also – and more importantly – that they understand how people learn" ( Jordan & Spencer,1990)
• Directed Learning • Cognitive • Constructivist
Learning Theories – 3 major ideas
Teacher centered, directed approaches
Directed learning
(also referred to as instructivist of objectivist)
Learner centered, teacher as facilitator
Where dose it fit in?
Student Centered Learning
SCL happens when:
The teacher sees teaching/learning as a process not a product,(Aaronsohn,1996)
Needs and abilites of students
Topics are relevant to the students' lives, needs, and interests and when the students themselves are actively engaged in creating, understanding and connecting to knowledge(McCombs and Whistler 1997)
The teacher considers learning styles of students when planning and assessing learning experiences.
With SCL students are….
…more intrinsically than extrinsically motivated
… active participants in their learning
Learning are their own pace
Using their own strategies
Students are not just memorizing information, but are working with and using the information along with rest of class.
Students different thoughts and views are a necessary input every class. The students are given choices and are included in the decision-making processes of the classroom.
How to do it?
Lecturers must design activities that:
Let students take initiative.
Let students discover meaningful information for their own lives.
Engage students actively to support knowledge construction.
Inquiry Learning
1.WHAT IS INQUIRY LEARINING?
Seeking information by questioning
Starts with a problem or a question.
Can be teacher or student generated.
Can be a real problem which has not yet been solved
Students define what they know and what they want to find out.
2.WHAT DO STUDENTS DO?
The process of inquiring begins with qathering information and data through applying the human senses – seeing, hearing, touching, tasting, and smelling.
3.SO HOW DOES IT DIFFER?
Traditional approach
Inquiry approach
4.HOW DOES INQUIRY LEARNING SUPPORT THE LEARNER?
Some models

2.WHAT DO STUDENTS DO?
- Look at questions and problem analytically.
- Students actively search for answers
- Reflect on what they find
- Integrate the information they find into their knowledge of the problem.
- Refine their questions

3.SO HOW DOES IT DIFFER?
Traditional approach
- Traditional approaches are based on mastery of content
- Teachers deliver and students receive information
- Instruction tends to be teacher centered
Inquiry approach
- Inquiry learning focuses on " How" as well as "What" we know.
- Teacher' role shifts to facilitator and students' role to active, constructors of knowledge.
- Activities are more student centered
4.HOW DOES INQUIRY LEARNING SUPPORT THE LEARNER?
- Students have preconceived idea about how the world works
- This approach allows them to build on what they know and are interested in
- Encourages meta- cognitive thinking
